Welcome Our Newest Coach: Lauren Sarchet!

Drumroll, please! We are beyond excited to introduce you to the newest addition to our coaching team at enduraLAB – Lauren Sarchet! While Lauren may be a fresh face on the coaching schedule, she’s certainly no stranger to the LAB. Since joining us in 2022, she’s been a dedicated member, and now she’s stepping into a new role to share her passion and expertise with all of you.

🌟 Getting to Know Lauren

Where are you originally from?I grew up in a small town called Hugoton, KS (AKA the middle of nowhere), and I relocated to DFW for school in 2015.

What brought you to enduraLAB?I was looking for a new gym home to continue my fitness journey and was referred to enduraLAB by a friend and former member. (If you’re reading this, Caitlin, you should move back to TX 😂.) I had a great time at my first class and now I’ve been a member for almost 2 years.

Where do you go to school, and what is your degree in?I hold two degrees from the University of North Texas: a Bachelor’s in Marketing (concentration in B2B sales) and an MBA. I’m currently in an executive doctoral program at Oklahoma State University pursuing my PhD in Business.

What do you expect to bring to the table?I hope to bring great energy, an excitement for learning and trying new things, and a fun music playlist to all my classes.🤘🏻My personal strengths are in barbell movements, mind-muscle connection, and breathwork.

💪 What Lauren Loves About the LAB

Science-Backed FitnessFirst and foremost, I love that enduraLAB is backed by science. In this day and age, it’s easy to get bogged down with fitness advice at every turn, but most sources are not science-based. You can rest assured that the programming, nutrition, and recovery advice provided by the LAB will be founded in scientific evidence.

Customizable ExperienceI love that the experience at enduraLAB is totally customizable! Members are encouraged to find what works best for them, and it’s truly a build-your-own experience. You can choose which programming tracks to use (strength & conditioning, endurance, functional bodybuilding), how much access you want to the gym (punch pass, unlimited membership, 24-7 access), what rest and recovery tools you need (cold plunge, sauna, Normatec compression), and if you want any additional evaluations to support your fitness journey (Fit-3D, Max VO2 testing) all while having a variety of coaches to choose from with their own respective specialties.

The CommunityLastly, I love the community! The members and staff at enduraLAB are what make the gym so special. They’re fun, supportive, and encouraging, and they make the LAB a safe and enjoyable place to be. 🤍

🚀 Lauren’s Goals and Passions

Fitness and Recovery GoalsMy general philosophy is that I train to be strong. An important predictor for overall health and longevity is muscle mass, which is why I’ve built a strong foundation with weightlifting. New focuses for this year include increased mobility work, contingencies for overcoming adversity with a hectic schedule, and an increase in my conditioning. I am also a strong proponent for listening to your body, which I plan to continue incorporating into my recovery goals. When my schedule gets busy, it’s easy to forget to take a step back and prioritize rest.

What Are You Currently Reading?I am currently working through the Throne of Glass series and just finished Queen of Shadows. I’m a big fantasy-genre lover but also enjoy historical fiction and mystery/thriller books.

What Song is Really Pumping You Up Right Now?I’ve been on a big Dead Poet Society kick lately, and "I hope you hate me" has the best drop when I’m jamming out in my car. It’s one of those songs I would consider a “guaranteed PR” banger. 💪🏻

Favorite Show/MovieMy favorite movie of all time is Moulin Rouge💔. Some of my favorite shows are The Office, Parks & Rec, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Law & Order SVU.

Two Things on Your Bucket ListI want to see all 7 Modern Wonders of the World! I so far have only visited Chichén Itzá, but am hoping to book a trip to Italy soon for the Colosseum!

I also have aspirations to one day write a book.

Anything Else We Should Know About You?I began my adult fitness career a short 4 years ago when I decided to join a group gym after the COVID pandemic. Initially, my only goal was to lose weight, but in the process, I found an amazing outlet, supportive community, and newfound passion in weightlifting. I want to remind our athletes that we all start somewhere and have different motivations in our individual fitness journeys. But if you find your “why” and use it as encouragement to show up on the tough days, you’ll be amazed at what can come from consistency and hard work.
