What brought you to enduraLAB? To improve my tennis game by becoming more fit.
What did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB? Lots of tennis but little else.
What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB? I eat more whole foods, and have eliminated most grains and added sugars from my diet.
Tell us what you do outside of the LAB? I am a mom of two recent college graduates (yay!) and I enjoy serving my community, most recently as a classroom helper at Rivertree Academy. I also love to cook, travel and spend time with my family.
How have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB? My introduction to the LAB was through a six week boot camp. I was SUPER intimidated by all the amazing athletes who were giving it their all every day. I had never lifted weights before and was a reluctant participant (to put it mildly). Once I figured out that I was only in competition with myself, I began to enjoy learning proper techniques and trying to steadily improve. I am a numbers geek, so I love tracking everything in the new SugarWOD app!
What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months? I have registered for the GORuck 26.2 miler in Dallas this fall.
What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program? Training for the Murph and I am fast becoming a fan of rucking.
What advice would you have for a new person starting at enduraLAB? Make the commitment to yourself to be strong and fit. The Covid-19 pandemic really highlighted the importance of both physical and mental health to me.
Favorite cheat meal/restaurant in D/FW? Joe T. Garcias or Mama’s Pizza. Or both!
Current read / podcast? Unlocking Us by Brene Brown
Any final words or thoughts? I have enjoyed meeting so many new people at the LAB, and the coaches are the best!
