When Kari Grayson moved to Fort Worth from San Antonio last summer, she wasn’t just looking for a new zip code—she was searching for a community. Lucky for us, her sister pointed her toward enduraLAB, and the rest is sweat-soaked history.
From Bootcamp Boss to LAB Loyalist
Kari’s fitness journey didn’t start here, but it’s certainly been reignited. Back in San Antonio, Kari was that person—the fearless leader of a country club bootcamp for 12 years. Add 11 years of CrossFit under her belt, and you’d think she had nothing left to prove. But Kari isn’t one to coast. Joining the LAB wasn’t just about fitness—it was about community, accountability, and showing herself she could still crush it. Spoiler alert: She can.
Macros, Modifications, and Momentum
Since stepping into the LAB, Kari has dusted off her macro-tracking skills and embraced the power of modification. She’s proof that adjusting your approach doesn’t mean holding back. Whether she’s scaling a workout or diving into kettlebell swings, Kari’s got one mantra: show up, push yourself, and let progress do its thing.
Firearms, Faith, and a Furry Sidekick
Outside of the gym, Kari is a mom to three beautiful girls. She keeps busy teaching firearms education, deepening her faith at Bible study, and keeping up with her Sheepadoodle on frequent walks. (We’re betting that pup has calves of steel.)
Empowered and Competitive? Yes, Please.
Since joining the LAB, Kari’s rediscovered her athletic edge. “I didn’t think I could still do many of these skills,” she says, “but pushing my limits has been so empowering.” She’s back to smashing goals, enjoying a little friendly competition, and soaking up the camaraderie in her favorite 8:30 and 12:00 classes.
Goals, Guacamole, and Thunderstruck Workouts
When it comes to the next six months, Kari’s focus is clear: strength and nutrition. And while she loves cooking up her own meals, Mexican food holds a special place in her heart (yes, she’s fully aware that guac is extra). Her go-to pump-up song is Thunderstruck—a perfect anthem for her Total Body Burn workout. Picture this: 10 rounds of burpees, box jumps, push-ups, kettlebell swings, goblet squats, and 100 singles. Are you sweating just reading that?
Words of Wisdom for Newbies
“Don’t be intimidated,” Kari advises. “Just do what you can and be consistent. Each day you work out, you’ll feel better, and the progress will come over time.”
Gratitude and Gains
Kari’s final thoughts are as heartfelt as her hustle: “I’m so glad to have found this awesome community. Everyone has been so welcoming. Even on bad days, I know I’ll feel better after a workout.”
Here’s to you, Kari—our Total Body Burn queen. We’re glad you’re part of the enduraLAB family!
