Some people ease their way into a new gym. Madie Graso? She dove in headfirst—right into Hell Week. That’s right, her introduction to enduraLAB was seven days of fitness madness, courtesy of her boyfriend and his family, longtime LAB members. Trial by fire? More like trial by burpees. But she survived (thrived, actually) and never looked back.
From Gym-Goer to LAB Enthusiast
Before joining the LAB, Madie was a dedicated weightlifter at LA Fitness, hitting the gym 3-5 times a week. Strength training was her thing, but cardio? Not so much. That all changed once she stepped into our world of high-intensity, heart-pounding workouts. Now, she’s upped her game to a minimum of four days a week and fully embraced the sweat-dripping, lung-burning goodness of endurance training.
Horses, Houses, and Heavy Lifting
When she’s not crushing workouts at the LAB, Madie keeps busy—really busy. She’s a licensed real estate agent, helping people find their forever homes, and she also trains horses daily, competing in show jumping. Throw in hiking, traveling, and discovering new foodie spots, and it’s clear she’s not one to sit still for long.
Gains, Goals, and the Sticker Board Showdown
Since committing to her fitness journey, Madie has seen massive progress—literally. She’s dropped 30 pounds, gained muscle definition, and leveled up her endurance. Remember when she could barely squeak out five push-ups? Now, she’s knocking out 11. Oh, and she can do a 10-pound weighted pull-up like it’s no big deal. (It is a big deal.) Her next six-month goal? Keeping up the consistency and chiseling some upper-body definition.
As a self-proclaimed competitive person, it’s no surprise that her favorite “event” at the LAB is the sticker board. (If you know, you know.) And when it comes to workouts, you’ll find her in our Strength & Conditioning classes, putting in the work and probably planning her next PR.
If Madie Had a Signature Workout…
It would, of course, be called “Gluteus MADIEmus.” And, you guessed it—glutes, glutes, and more glutes. We’re talking squats, deadlifts, hip thrusts, and anything else to fire up the posterior chain.
Food, Books, and Nickelback Confessions
Madie’s go-to treat meal? Sushi from Hatsuyuki. Just don’t show up late—she warns you need to arrive at least 30 minutes before opening to get a seat.
Current read? She’s on her third round of The Four Agreements (talk about dedication). Podcast preference? Let’s just say she only listens when Michael forces Joe Rogan on her.
And for a pump-up song? “Rockstar” by Nickelback. Yes, she knows what you’re thinking, and she’s not here for the Nickelback slander.
Words of Wisdom
For anyone new to enduraLAB, Madie’s advice is simple: Stick with it. The workouts get easier, the mindset shift is real, and soon, showing up to the gym becomes second nature.
Madie, we love having you in the LAB and watching you crush your goals. Here’s to more PRs, more stickers on the board, and, of course, more glutes!
