What brought you to enduraLAB?
My good buddy Patrick, the fittest old man I know invited me to Holiday Hustle two years ago.
What did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB?
Inconsistent. Sporadic weight lifting, running, indoor soccer. A bit of climbing, swimming andyoga.
What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB?
I’m a lot stronger than when I started. I can do pull-ups and lifts I never would have attempted on my own.
Tell us what you do outside of the LAB?
Professionally, I’m a commercial real estate strategist for CBRE on their consulting team.
Personally, I’ve got two super sweet, athletic kiddos who I’m usually with when not at the Lab. Sawyer is 6 (first grade) and Emma Claire is 8 (3rd grade). They keep us beyond busy.
How have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB? Brag a little.
I’m a lot more confident in the gym. My goal has always been to get stronger without getting hurt, so I’m proud of myself for doing that while checking my ego, which sometimes wants me to lift more/heavier, at the door and focusing on form.
What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months?
Stay the course and come more often. Get stronger and don’t get hurt. Want to do 2 adventure/Spartan races this year.
What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program?
I love Hell Week because it brings in new people and builds the LAB community.
What advice would you have for a new person starting at enduraLAB?
Dive in head first. So many good people here. Trust the process.
If we had a workout in honor of you, what would it be called and what would it consist of?
It would probably be lots of body weight stuff & short, fast runs, because that’s my jam. I’m still trying to beat Patrick - just once.
Favorite treat meal/restaurant in D/FW?
For healthy, it’s probably Pacific Table (pre-construction) but I also love 4 Sisters for Asian and Cookshack with the kids.
Current read / podcast?
Just finished Empire of the Summer Moon, one I’d had been wanting to read for way too long.
Pump up song?
I’m like a 16 year old girl when it comes to workout music. Anything pop does the trick.
Any final words or thoughts?
You got one life to live - make it worthwhile.
