Hometown. I am a military brat, so I've lived all over. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Degree. I attended several colleges including TCCC, University of Hartford, University of Connecticut and Quinnipiac University. I ultimately graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a major in communication and a minor in music. I also hold a certification as an early childhood - 6th grade teacher.
Occupation. Primarily, I am a third grade teacher at North Hi Mount Elementary. Go Eager Eagles! At the LAB, I'm Coach Lee's wife and I'm always ready to do everything and anything that is needed from coaching to personal training to brand management. I'm the LAB's biggest fan for certain! Owning your own business is 24/7 operation, and I adore every aspect.
Certifications. Gym Jones L1, Gym Jones Women, USAW Sports Performance and Precision Nutrition L1.
Why fitness and nutrition? Both of my parents are active, productive and super driven individuals. They instilled in me early the importance of taking care of myself and ultimately how to care for my family. I started my nutrition journey when Coach Lee asked if I’d heard of the Paleo Diet. Game on! I started studying and experimenting with food from that point forward. If you know me, you know that I love a challenge.
Favorite charity / volunteer organization? I’m extremely honored to be a part of the Fort Worth Junior League. Through this wonderful organization I’ve had unique opportunities to serve Fort Worth and beyond. My favorite charitable experience, as of late, was volunteering at Cook Children’s Hospital. My next opportunity is Make-a-Wish, and I’m super pumped to serve that organization.
What is your most current binge? I’m really into Big Little Lies. I’m doing a lot more reading these days since it’s summer (gotta love a teacher schedule). My current read is the enduraLAB Chasing Chapters book club selection, Shoe Dog by Phil Knight.
Inspiration? Number one is my husband, Coach Lee. Second is my dad who is still rocking it in his 50's! He will never stop thinking he's 28 and I love that. Other inspirations I watch are Jacki Carr, Shellie Eddington, Kevin Curry (fitmencook), and really anyone I follow on Instagram.
How do you keep clients motivated? I love to give them something they are really rocking, and something small I think they can work on. I want to give them space if they need it, or a giant hug.
Favorite workout? Least favorite? I love all enduraLAB workouts. This is no joke. I think I did complain once though when Coach Lee programmed a 30-minute row... I was like WTH! I pouted. I haven’t seen it since.
What’s your favorite workout song? Another really hard question, but I’d have to say Flames by David Guetta and Sia. Such a good message about putting one foot in front of the other and just keep moving.
Best restaurant in Fort Worth? This is sooooo hard but right now, but my main squeeze is Righteous Foods.
Two items on your bucket list? Travel overseas with my family (happening this summer!!!). Go back to the pink hospital I was born in Hawaii.
What else would you like for us to know about you? I already feel like I overshared, ha! But I love to chat and get to know people, so if you want to know more let’s grab some coffee or, better yet, let’s workout together.
