enduraLAB's Guide to Healthy Eats in Fort Worth

Coach Lee's recommendation is Righteous Foods. With so many delicious healthy options, it's hard to go wrong. His absolute favorites are the Swine Burrito for breakfast, the Baby Romaine salad (add chicken and sub olives for mandarins) for lunch, and the Cubano for whenever my sandwich craving hits. They also have the best churros in town.

Coach Isis' fast food go-to is Zoes Kitchen. Her favorite dish is the salmon kabobs with a Greek side salad. To keep it healthier she recommends limiting the dressing and omitting the pita bread. For a splurge, order the pita and hummus as an appetizer!

Coach Lauren's pick is Pappasitos. As long as you can say no to the chips and salsa, half priced Wednesday night fajitas can’t be beat! She opts for the corn tortillas and tries to limit her rice and bean portions.

Coach Staci stays true to her favorite, Edohana! Who doesn't love hibachi! As a bonus, you get enough food so you have leftovers for days!

Coach Caroline loves Pacific Table. Perfect for a weekday lunch with a friend, date night or Sunday brunch with the family--this cozy restaurant spot has something for everyone. She usually opts for the fresh fish, which changes daily, and is often simply grilled. Pair it with the grilled brussels sprouts or little kale salad for the perfect healthy meal.

Coach Makenzie has a real soft spot for Waters Restaurant nestled in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. The oysters are fresh and festive, the wild-caught gulf shrimp are done to perfection, and Bonnell's signature seafood gumbo (although admittedly not healthy) is out of this world. Entree favorites include the gulf jumbo lump crab cakes (omit the aioli) and the crab and avocado salad. While you are there, don't forget to check out the patio!
