Create a Better 2019 by Planning for Success Today
With less than a week remaining in 2018, it’s time to get serious about your goals for 2019. As we all know, failing to prepare is preparing to fail. Here are three steps to get you started.
Take a look back at the last year and what you've learned. Understand your past...the failures, the successes...and go into your 2019 planning with that knowledge.
Write down 3-5 outcome-based goals. These could be anything. Think about what you want to achieve in the New Year. Maybe it's obtaining a certain body composition number, finishing a degree or certification, reading more, getting your nutrition under control, running a half marathon or achieving a new standard in the bench press. Make sure these goals are specific and measurable.
Now write down 3-5 behavioral goals that will provide the system to achieve your outcome-based goals. These are your desired daily/weekly habits that, when completed, will achieve your goals without even thinking about them. For example, if your outcome-based goal is to workout 4x a week then you need to consider using the enduraLAB app to schedule these days in advance before your week gets busy. These actions are the real focus for a successful 2019.
